Last week we held our annual wine auction and fundraiser amidst the stunning harbour views of the Royal Yacht Squadroon Club in Sydney. We welcomed more than 100 guests to partake in some delicious French food, bid on some excellent wines and raise money for Sala Bai. Thanks to your generous support we were able to raise over $40,000 on the night alone! We also sold 100 tickets for a special raffle: Range of Grange, which has raised us an extra $15,000 this year! The raffle was drawn on the night and a long-time supporter of Friends of Sala Bai: Dr Niell Boustred was the lucky winner.
On the night we also recognised Rod Andrewartha as our newest ambassador. A Qantas pilot and photographer, Rod has raised more than $6000 for Friends of Sala Bai this year alone. We would like to thank everyone who supported us especially the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School, Maurice Cooper and the team at Bygone Beautys, International Chef Felix Halter and QStation! We would also like to thank Véronique and Olivier Eskenazi and their friends from Lycée Condorcet.
During the night we asked our guests to takes some photos drôles or funny photos, offering a prize for the best picture. Here are the wonderful submissions we received.
And the winner for best picture: Bedford CA for their Parisian proposal scene!
